Technology Update
Exciting news is being announced for the entire school! Plans for next school year now include Vandebilt providing each student in grades 8-12 with an iPad. Vandebilt will purchase the tablets and applications that will be installed on them by our personnel. Parents will not be asked to make this purchase. Next year all Vandebilt students will be required to use iPads issued by the school in their classrooms. We will continue to update you as we make progress on this plan for upgrading technology use on our campus. Please be aware that personally owned iPads will not be allowed at school during the 2012-2013 school year. We are in the process of updating our infrastructure; this includes fiber optic Internet lines and a new wireless network, which will allow us to accommodate the increased Internet traffic that use of a large volume of tablets will cause. We are attempting to cover much of the cost of this update of our infrastructure through the generosity of donors. If you or someone you know may be interested in financially supporting this venture, we encourage you to contact our president, Mr. Keife, at your earliest convenience. This endeavor will pave the way for our students to be on the cutting edge of technology, providing them with enhanced educational experiences daily and giving them even better college-preparatory instruction.

Thanks to the Junior High Student Council for its contribution to the Brother Alfred Kolb and the Brother Ray Kuhn scholarship funds. This is the third consecutive year that JHSC has contributed to the endowment funds. The JHSC is the first club to ever make a donation to the funds and hopes to inspire other organizations to also reach out to this great cause.

| The Disney Honors - Inspiring a Passion for Excellence Every two years, Disney has the privilege of hosting a celebration of musical talent featured at The Disney Honors, a festival that showcases the skills of high school band, orchestra and choral ensembles from across the country. On March 23-27, the Vandebilt Wind Symphony traveled to Florida to take part in The Disney Honors. The students had the opportunity to perform on stage, interact with world renowned musical educators and mingle with fellow musicians from around the country. This was truly a magical and unique festival experience that only Disney can produce!
